Media Remote is the software control module "Brains"
behind the intelligent ImageMaker 5.x Suite. Media Remote has
an application interface which communicates the software and
hardware status of the Microtech machines and all job submissions.
Custom
applications for disc creation and
publishing are easily possible with the Media Remote programmers
API. Since all communication with Media Remote is done
with plain text ASCII files, programming consists of writing
and reading these files. You can use any text editor to
generate a job file with instructions for creating a disc.
Jobs can also be generated by a database program or another
software application.
The power in Media Remote is for creating an on-demand system
where each disc is unique. Just a few examples are Music
On Demand, automatic billing statements, patient records
archiving, Just In Time software manufacturing, and digital
photo printing.
